We have entered a new stage of significant growth and are looking to expand the underwriting team. The Loan Application Processors complete the first stage of the underwriting process. It is a very faced-paced role with a high volume of loan applications to assess daily.

The primary activities for this role include researching and validating important loan application information to ensure the application pre-qualifies for underwriting. The Application Processors complete a speedy assessment of each application to determine if it should be moved forward in the underwriting process or declined.

Requirements

• Very fast on a computer, must be able to type at least 80 words per minute.
• Fast with new systems, toggling between different systems and learning new software.
• Strong on Excel.
• Highly focused and extremely detail oriented.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to apply critical thinking and make decisions quickly.
• Confident enough to defend decisions and explain to a sales associate why an application may not pre-qualify.

Preferred skills and experience

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance.
• Prior credit or finance training.
• Experience in commercial loan, mortgage, or lease transactions.
• Typing 100 words per minute.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Salesforce.
