Mulligan Funding Announces the Latest Recipient of Their “Putting the Customer First Award”

Those who are familiar with Mulligan Funding know that one of the company’s core values is to “do business the right way.”  That includes providing unparalleled customer service, treating all clients as business partners, and celebrating successes.  The small and medium sized lending provider takes that philosophy one step further by conducting a quarterly Mulligan Funding’s Putting the Customer First Award.

The process:  Mulligan Funding asks its employees to nominate outstanding businesses that…you guessed it…put the customer first.  Then, the company researches each nomination based on word-of-mouth, online reviews, public opinion, etc. After thorough investigation, a winner is selected.

This quarter’s winner is La Mesa-based Re-Animated Records, selected for its outstanding commitment to customer service.

Re-Animated Records is co-owned and operated by Nic and Lynn Friesen. The couple opened their store in La Mesa a little over a year and a half ago and have already developed a dedicated and loyal following in their community. “We have something for everyone, men and women, young and old, and we try to diversify our inventory to make people feel at home” stated Lynn. Besides the passion that fuels their business, the Friesens have undeniable charismatic energy and are always available and approachable to their customers. “The people are the best thing about this job. Visiting with friends and making new ones. There’s nothing not to love.”

The Friesens will use their $2,000 cash award from Mulligan to stock up on inventory for their biggest day of the year – April 13th, Annual Record Store Day. The line will be out the door but it’s definitely worth the wait if you happen to be in La Mesa.
