  • 01. Associate Credit Analyst

    Mulligan Funding is a leading provider of working capital helping businesses across the country get access to the funds they need to successfully compete, grow, and thrive. With over $450M in funding to thousands of businesses throughout the country, Mulligan Funding is entering a new stage of significant growth.

    The team of credit analysts at Mulligan is responsible for assessing the financial condition of small businesses and approving/declining loan requests. Unlike working at a bank, this is an extremely fast-paced role with very little red-tape, that will involve decision-making authority. Credit analysts must be adept at multitasking, critical thinking, and extemporaneous decision-making. New hires will be trained by experienced analysts. This position offers high growth potential for quick-learners and is open to recent graduates.

    Day to Day Job Duties:

    • Review financial statements and conduct in-depth analysis of business bank statements to determine credit worthiness of small businesses
    • Analyze personal & business credit reports
    • Assess the impact of the guarantor on the company’s ability to service debt
    • Interview the owners/managers of businesses about company operations, cash flow, and proposed use of funds
    • Conduct ad hoc research on businesses and industries to protect against fraud
    • Size, structure, and price loans for approved clients
    • Complete credit memos for large loan approvals and present proposals to credit committee

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar discipline
    • Minimum GPA of a 3.0
    • A strong grasp of accounting principles and ability to dissect financial statements
    • Prior internship or job experience in a finance or accounting related field
    • Well-developed organizational, communication, and time-management skills
    • Adept in all Microsoft Office Products, G-Suite, and ability to quickly pick up new programs and CRM systems
    • Strong critical thinking, mathematical, and analytical skills
    • Ability to make complex decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • 02. Loan Application Processor

    Mulligan Funding is a leading provider of working capital helping businesses across the country get access to the funds they need to successfully compete, grow, and thrive. With over $450M in funding to thousands of businesses throughout the country, Mulligan Funding is entering a new stage of significant growth.

    The Loan Application Processor is Mulligan Funding’s first point of contact on a loan submission, supporting the qualification of businesses for working capital loans. It is a very faced-paced role with a high volume of loan applications to assess daily.
    The primary activities for this role include researching and validating important loan application information to ensure the application pre-qualifies for underwriting.

    This role will be responsible for completing a speedy assessment of each application file to ensure it should be moved forward in the process. The Loan Application Processor will decide whether loan applications submitted by brokers pre-qualify at the first level – and will move them forward in the process – or will decline deals that do not qualify. This role will also involve verifying and updating certain data points for applicants.

    Requirements:

    • Very fast on a computer: typing minimum 80 words per minute
    • Fast with new systems, toggling between different systems and learning new software
    • Strong on Excel
    • Highly focused and extremely detail-oriented
    • Able to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Able to apply critical thinking and make decisions quickly
    • Confident enough to defend decisions and explain to Sales why an application may not pre-qualify or advance further in the underwriting process

    Preferred skills and experience:

    • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance
    • Prior credit or finance training
    • Knowledge of loan and lease transactions
    • Typing 100 words per minute
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience with Salesforce

  • 03. Sr. Business Analyst

    In the Business Analyst role you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to dig deep into existing processes, systems, and data, with the goal of shaping solutions that improve operational efficiency, consistency, and quality. A successful Business Analyst is intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, possesses an exceptional attention to detail, and has outstanding interpersonal skills.

    Key areas of responsibility:

    ● Work with end users and UX team to gather, understand, and document complex business requirements and translate them into system features/enhancements.
    ● Work collaboratively with the development team to establish detailed, user story-level requirements that ensure clarity on what needs to be built.
    ● Participate and drive key meetings with end users and stakeholders, including requirement gathering, system/feature demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.
    ● Build, validate and maintain documentation artifacts that describe business processes, business area context, and system requirements.
    ● Support the development and execution of the testing plan with the QA team.
    ● Assist in triaging production issues and develop solutions designed to minimize future regressions.
    ● Analyze ongoing internal system performance against operational goals and proactively identify opportunities to automate and/or improve other business processes and functions.

    Required skills & qualifications:

    ● Minimum of 3-4 years progressive experience in business or system analyst roles
    ● Demonstrated ability to drive insights and recommendations from data
    ● Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills
    ● Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets
    ● Able to produce workflows using Lucidchart or similar visual diagramming tools.
    ● Experience managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects, working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
    ● Experience soliciting, gathering, and analyzing user input and requirements
    ● Experience documenting user stories and creating to-be process flow diagrams

    Our Partner Relationship Managers own a book of highly valuable Partner accounts and must be adept at solving complex problems, delivering outstanding service to our Partners and their mutual clients, and positioning Mulligan Funding’s working capital solutions as the most effective financing source for thousands of small businesses nationwide.

    A Partner Relationship Manager of the ISO Team is a mid-level management position and is best suited to candidates seeking a leadership position that offers unequaled experience and an opportunity for both personal and business growth.

    Day-to-day responsibilities:

    ● Fund, at or above quota, Mulligan Funding’s small business loans sourced from your assigned book of Partner accounts
    ● Work with a dedicated, and growing, number of Partners to ensure their clients are approved and funded with Mulligan financing
    ● Communicate approvals, declines, and requests for additional information to our Partner team
    ● Work extremely closely with assigned Partner accounts to increase submission, approval, and closing volumes through dedicated training and coaching of these accounts
    ● Persistently dial the phone, send emails, and use other communication methods to generate applications, enrich Partner relationships, and help your Partner accounts close new business
    ● Work in conjunction with our Underwriting team to communicate client and Partner needs and desires

    Skills & qualifications:

    ● Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required
    ● 1-3+ years working in a merchant cash advance or commercial finance-related industry in a sales or business development capacity
    ● Ability to advance and close deals using multiple communication channels
    ● Ability to quickly diagnose client suitability for Mulligan Funding by reviewing bank statements, credit reports, and other associated financials
    ● A strong aptitude for problem-solving: every day you will encounter multiple situations you haven’t seen before and will need to tackle these challenges head-on
    ● A robust proficiency in multi-tasking, juggling multiple deals at various stages in the sales pipeline – this is a BUSY position!
    ● Familiarity with closing requirements for closing commercial finance transactions
    ● High-energy is an absolute must!
    ● Salesforce experience preferred

    We are looking for an Affiliate Development Representative to act as an ignition to our recently launched Affiliate Sales channel. Your role will be to identify, filter, and qualify potential affiliates for our Affiliate Relationship Manager and EVP of Business Development.

    In this role, you will play a vital role as Mulligan Funding’s first point of contact and the impression you create will be decisive in determining whether or not we’re able to secure new Affiliate Partners. Our Affiliate Partners run the gamut from bankers, payment processing professionals, software providers, accountants, and anyone who serves US-based small- and medium-sized businesses.
