  • 01. Analyst

    We are seeking an analyst to join our quantitative and data science team.     Core Responsibilities:
    • Work under the guidance of the SVP of Analytics
    • Assemble, process, and analyze raw data from all business areas of the company
    • Support aspects of data analysis for development of statistical models
    • Build financial analyses in Microsoft Excel or similar software

    Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 02. Associate Credit Analyst

    Mulligan Funding is an exciting, fast-growing direct B2B lender. Our clients are businesses across the country who need working capital financing.

    The team of credit analysts at Mulligan are responsible and assessing the financial condition of small business loan applicants and approving or declining loans. The credit analysts evaluate financial statements to assess cash flow and liquidity in order to determine if loans should be approved or declined. Unlike working at a bank, this is an extremely fast-paced role that will involve decision-making authority. Credit analysts must be adept at multitasking, critical thinking, and extemporaneous decision-making. New hires will be trained by experienced analysts. This position offers a high growth potential for quick learners and hard workers!

    Day-to-day job duties:
    • Review financial statements and analyze business bank statements to determine credit worthiness of small businesses
    • Analyze personal credit reports of businesses and individuals
    • Assess how the guarantor personal credit may affect the creditworthiness of the business
    • Sizing and structuring loans for approved clients
    • Complete credit memos for approved loans that support the decision and the structure of the proposed financing
    • Conduct ad hoc research on businesses to protect against fraud
    • Interview potential clients in order to further assess ability to repay
    • Decline loan applications that do not meet the minimum criteria
    Qualifications: 
    • Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar discipline
    • Minimum GPA of a 3.0.
    • A strong grasp of accounting principles and ability to dissect financial statements
    • Prior internship or job experience in a finance or accounting related field.

    The Partner Channel at Mulligan is the fastest-growing sales channel in the organization. The Team works with our nationwide network of Independent Sales Organizations, commercial loan brokers, and other finance professionals (“Partners”) in order to secure capital for their clients. We assist our Partners by offering fast and fair working capital solutions tailored to their specific needs. Our Partner Channel Team Directors own a book of highly valuable Partner accounts and must be adept at solving complex problems, delivering outstanding service to our Partners and their mutual clients, and position Mulligan Funding’s working capital solutions as the most effective financing source for thousands of small businesses nationwide.

    Director – Partner Channel Team is a senior level management position best suited for a candidate seeking a leadership role with an opportunity for personal and business growth and experience.

    Day-to-day responsibilities:
    • Close Mulligan business fundings sourced from your assigned book of Partner accounts, at or above quota
    • Work with a dedicated and growing number of Partners to ensure their clients are approved and funded with Mulligan      financing
    • Communicate approvals, declines and requests for additional information to our Partner team
    • Work extremely closely with assigned Partner accounts to increase submission, approval, and closing volume through      dedicated training and coaching of Partner accounts
    • Manage and train junior relationship managers
    • Persistently dial the phone, send emails, and use other communication methods to generate applications, enrich
    • Partner relationships, and help your Partner accounts close new business
    • Work closely with our Underwriting team to communicate Client and Partner needs and desires and to overcome             obstacles wherever possible, in order to provide extraordinary service to our Partners and clients
    • Visit with assigned Partner accounts to deepen relationships and increase quality deal flow
    Required qualifications and experience: 
    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
    • 3-5+ years in merchant cash advance, working capital loan or commercial finance related industry in a sales or               business development capacity
    • Ability to advance and close deals using multiple communication channels
    • Ability to quickly assess client suitability for Mulligan Funding by reviewing bank statements, credit reports, and other        associated financials
    • A strong aptitude for problem solving: you will encounter multiple situations daily that you haven’t seen before and you      will need to tackle these challenges head-on

  • 05. Project Manager

The Project Manager will help build a strong foundation off which to leverage their expertise in order to accomplish Mulligan Funding’s project goals and initiatives. Such projects include strategic and tactical IT initiatives, software development, and other projects that require management support. The Project Manager will assist in the project lifecycle, manage project documentation, help develop project timelines and deliverables, prepare all necessary communications, coordinate project meetings & schedules, and assist when necessary in the QA and UAT process of a project.

    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate and work well with the project sponsor, stakeholders, and other staff members to create the project scope, goals, and deliverables to complete the project
    • Create, maintain, and organize backlog of features, epics, stories, and tasks
    • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Help establish the use of project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, deliverables, and timelines

In this role, you’ll work in a highly collaborative environment where communication with the Marketing, Sales, Underwriting and Backend Engineering teams is key to your day-to-day success.

    Responsibilities:
    • Translate business requirements into well architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform 
    • Develop comprehensive configuration designs and architectural documentation to support the successful implementation of projects and processes.
    • Identify and recommend Salesforce.com based solutions, integration points and related implementation architecture for business usage improvements, scalability and performance

  • 07. Senior Credit Analyst

    The team of credit analysts at Mulligan are responsible for assessing the financial condition of small business loan applicants and approving or declining loans. The credit analysts evaluate financial statements to assess cash flow and liquidity in order to determine the optimal loan structure for each our clients. Unlike working at a bank, this is an extremely fast-paced role that will involve autonomy and decision-making authority. Credit analysts must be adept at multitasking, critical thinking, and extemporaneous decision-making. Depending on the level of experience and how well the selected candidate performs, this role may quickly develop into a supervisor/management role as our credit team is rapidly growing.

    Day-to-day job duties:
    • Review & spread financial statements and conduct in-depth analysis of business bank statements to determine credit worthiness of small businesses
    • Analyze personal & business credit reports
    • Assess the impact of the guarantor financial position on the company’s ability to service debt
    • Interview the owners/managers of business applicants about company operations, cash flow, and proposed use of funds in order to determine credit worthiness
    • Conduct ad hoc research on businesses and industries to protect against fraud
    • Sizing, structuring, and pricing loans for approved clients
    • Complete credit memos for large loan approvals and present proposals to credit committee
    What You’ll Need:
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a accredited university, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar discipline. Minimum GPA of a 3.0.
    • Minimum 2 years experience in commercial (C&I preferred) or small business lending
    • A strong grasp of accounting principles and ability to dissect financial statements
    • Experience spreading and analyzing complete corporate tax returns, including balance sheets
    • Knowledgeable about the small business lending landscape with insights into various industry risk segments
    • Adept in all Microsoft Office Products and ability to quickly pick up new programs and CRM’s
    • Ability to make complex decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    Preferred Skills:
    • Underwriting experience at a fast-paced, nonbank, direct small business lender
    • Ability to calculate global debt service coverage ratios that incorporate guarantor and affiliate cash flow
    • Prior experience training and managing credit analysts
    • Strong grasp of various fraud identification strategies and current fraud tactics in the industry
    • Exposure to various credit and/or fraud risk models

  • 08. Special Assets, Recoveries, and Collections Manager

    We are looking for an experienced Collections & Recoveries professional who understands the lending and credit worlds intimately, to lead our Collections & Servicing team. We’re looking for a confident, self-starter who is excited to work with passionate teams in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be leading internal legal direction for recoveries and collections managing the special assets portfolio. Depending on the level of experience of the selected candidate, this position may be a Director-Level role at the company.

    Apart from leading your Collections team towards success, you’ll need to be willing to negotiate with clients and help restructure repayment agreements, handle legal actions while maintaining relationships with legal firms, and identify trends in order to help us optimize our funding solutions. We will also be looking to you to assist in the build-out of out an optimal Collections platform and processes, continually improving and strengthening the department as our business continues to evolve and grow.

    What you’ll need:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with a major preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Legal Studies.
    • Minimum 4 years in experience in commercial workouts and recoveries
    • Prior experience in a business lending organization, credit union, or bank
    • Experience analyzing and recommending appropriate workout strategies and modifications
    • Strong understanding of loan underwriting, structuring, approval and documentation
    • Exemplary telephone and written communication skills and confidence dealing directly with business owners across all industries
    • Prior management experience and familiarity with developing KPIs and compensation plans
    • Current knowledge of federal and state laws, usury laws, & bankruptcy laws
    • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and strong computer literacy
    Preferred skills and experience:
    • A JD (Juris Doctor) degree from a nationally-recognized, accredited law school
    • In-depth knowledge of consumer and commercial compliance regulations
    • Experience navigating legal proceedings for bankruptcies or other types of collections efforts
    • Prior experience establishing and managing policies & procedures and credit risk rating criteria
